What is the 20th book in the New Testament? James.
新約聖經第20卷書叫什麼?雅各{ya3-ge4}書。
Wait, what?
“雅各”, as we all know, translates to “Jacob” (e.g. the Patriarch). James, as we might think, translates to…詹姆士🤦♂️
So what happened here? It’s a long story, probably for another day. Given that the Greek manuscript writes as Ἰάκωβος (Iakobos), my bet would be…… Ἰάκωβος did not speak English and couldn’t care less. James or Jacob, the book is amazing either way. Suffice it to say, we at least need to remember that James 2:26 is not 詹姆士書2章26節.
